DETAILS:
This design is inspired by my own appreciation of the culture, and it’s relation to anime and other Asian pop culture.

The first thing many anime fans would pick out is the similarities to the theatrical poster from, the critically acclaimed, ‘Akira’.

Additionally, the car itself is an ‘AE 86’, the same model from another anime fan favorite show ‘Initial-D’. And to add, the text ‘Running in the 90’s’, is a nod to that show’s popular,and highly memed, soundtrack title.

There are a few other subtle pop-culture nods that are fun to pick out. This can be seen in the clothing the main character is dressed in, which takes inspiration from K-Pop fashion.
